Range Rover Sport SVR
Effortless, commanding, unmistakable on a wet London street. Santorini Black outside, ivory leather with red stitching and red belts inside — the best-looking car we run.
Mercedes-AMG G63 Urban Kit
Square, loud and recognised before it turns the corner. The car people book when the entrance is the event — weddings put it at the front of the convoy, videos put it in frame.
Aston Martin Vantage
Two seats, a V8 and nothing practical about it. The fleet’s proper sports car — booked for the drive itself, not the errand. The one car we run without CarPlay or a sunroof; nobody has handed it back complaining.
Hermes Sprinter
A private lounge that moves. Quilted captain’s chairs facing each other, starlight headliner, a TV, and lighting that does the work at night.

The fleet, out in London
Follow for the cars that never make the site — new arrivals, wedding convoys and whatever is out that weekend.
How it works
Four steps, all of them in one WhatsApp conversation. No account, no card page, no waiting on email.

Twenty-four cars, run properly
The Rental Plug has been hiring cars in East London since 2024. It is not a marketplace and not a broker — every vehicle on this site is ours, kept on our own fleet insurance, and prepared between hires rather than between seasons.
The fleet is built around what London actually books: hot hatches and performance saloons for weekends and birthdays, executive saloons for long hires and airport runs, and the G63, the SVR and the Hermes Sprinter for weddings and shoots. Every car runs high-specced — sunroof, Apple CarPlay, upgraded speakers, reverse camera, sensors, with the two exceptions named on their own pages — and most of the fleet insures drivers from 18.
Straight answers
What do I actually need to hire a car?
To check availability: your full name, self drive or chauffeur, your dates, the car or category, the rental length and your age — plus a photo of your UK licence, front and back, with the first message. To secure a self-drive booking we then ask for a payslip, your NI number or a DVLA check code, and a bank statement from the last three months. Chauffeur bookings just need the availability details.
Why is there no pricing on the site?
Because no two hires are the same. The car, the dates, the length and your age all move the number — and clients who book with us regularly get looked after. Send the enquiry and you will have your personal quote in the same conversation, usually within the hour. Deposits work the same way: confirmed with your quote before you commit, held for the hire, and returned once the car is back and the walk-round matches.
Is insurance really included?
Yes, on every vehicle, with no exceptions. You are added to our own fleet policy for the hire — there is nothing to buy separately and no counter upsell. The insurance excess — the amount you would be liable for in a claim — is confirmed with your quote; ask and we will give you the figure for the specific car before you book.
I’m 18. Can I hire anything on this page?
Most of it. The majority of the fleet insures drivers from 18 — the big SUVs and the Astons carry their own minimums. Put your age in the enquiry and you will get a straight yes or no for the exact car, before you send anything else.
How many miles do I get?
100 miles per day, included. That covers almost every London booking — a wedding, a prom, a night out, an airport run. If you are driving to Birmingham and back, tell us when you book and buy the extra miles up front; it is cheaper than settling them afterwards. Extra miles are priced with your quote.
How do I pay?
Cash or bank transfer. There is no card checkout on this site and no payment page — everything is arranged in the WhatsApp conversation, and you will always be told the full amount in writing before anything moves. Crypto — ask us before you plan on it.
What if I need to cancel?
Message us as early as you can — a car that comes back into the diary a week out can be re-let, and one that comes back the night before usually cannot. The formal cancellation window and the deposit is taken when you collect the vehicle and returned within 10 working days to 2 weeks of drop-off, provided there is no damage and no tickets arrive — you always see the evidence before any ticket is paid from it. The amount is confirmed with your quote.
What happens if I bring it back late?
As an example: you have the M340i until 6pm, the next hire collects it at 8pm, and you turn up at 9 without messaging. That is somebody else’s booking gone. Tell us the moment you know you will be late and we will almost always work around it. Bring it back on time — running late gets charged, with the exact figures in the terms of hire and confirmed before you book.
What counts as damage?
A kerbed wheel, a scratched bumper, a burn or a stain in the cabin, or the car coming back needing more than a wash. Normal road use is not damage and we do not treat it as such. Both walk-round videos are the reference — if it is on the handover film, it is not yours. Anything on the insurance side runs through the policy, and the excess applies.
Book it in a message
Every booking starts as a message. Send the details below with a photo of your licence, front and back, and we will come back with availability and your personal quote — usually in the same conversation.
